Usually, these health issues have their own symptoms. If a Chihuahua is suffering from loss of appetite or if it is shaking a lot, then it can be a symptom of hypoglycemia.
That’s why you should always keep corn syrup in handy if things start to go out of hands. After that, provide them the medical attention needed.

If you are giving food to your Chihuahua in the morning and in the night, then give them a half cup of food every time. But food is not enough. This breed is very energetic and gets tired very fast. So make sure you provide them with plenty of water throughout the day so that they can function easily. Also, make sure that the food and water you provide is fresh as contaminated food and water can have the same effect on them as it has on human beings.

Apart from that, apple-head Chihuahuas come in two types as we discussed before. So if you have a long-haired Chihuahua then you should brush its hair at least twice a week to keep the hair healthy and prevent matting in the hair. Use a bristle brush that is soft. If you have a short haired Chihuahua then the work is easy. All you have to do is brush your dog once a week and you are good to go.

But make sure you arrange a bathing session of your dog frequently because dogs are known to stink when not bathed for a long time.
